One of these new places is the Indien restaurant Currify at the Zähringer Tor. This is still a Geheimtipp. Rohit Sharma and his team of Indien chefs offer an amazing variety of Indian dishes. Their own Tandoori oven enables them to present the wonderful chicken, lamb, shrimp or cod dishes, which are tenderly grilled and superbly spiced. His Thali dishes, the many specialties and his home made breads and chutneys and Masala-starters as well as as his extensive list of vegetarian and vegan dishes are mouthwatering. And the best thing is, it tastes like in India! No attempts to Germanize his cooking. The use of all these wonderful spices is very thoughtful and the most friendly staff advise you on all dishes offered. He needs to improve his wine list, which I am sure will happen soon. Needless to say that his prices are more than reasonable. You can sit in the garden, next to parking spaces. Welcome to the region!"
